Gov Diri’s Developmental Strides Will Give PDP Victory, Says BYSHA Speaker

by Oyagiri Chime-emeleThe Bayelsa State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Abraham Ingobere has asserted that the developmental strides of the governor, Senator Douye Diri will give the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) victory in the November 11th governorship poll.
Rt. Hon. Ingobere made the assertion while chatting with newsman during the party’s gubernatorial primary, Wednesday April 11th, at Yenagoa, adding that the governor has done so much that the opposition would not have anything to campaign against him.
On his advice towards House Members’ preparations for the forthcoming gubernatorial election, he said; “Members are already prepared for the election. They are in touch with their people and have also keyed into the prosperity governor’s agenda, especially the returning Members. They will ensure to deliver our candidate.
“Gov. Douye Diri is the best thing that has happened to Bayelsa State. He came to beautify and develop the state. He does not segregate. He has the people at heart and that is the type of man we need at the moment.
He opined that his style of leadership has endeared him to Bayelsans across party lines, adding that the governor is hungry to improve the people’s standard of living which according to him; ‘will make even the opposition to work for him.’
The Speaker, who described the governor, Senator Douye Diri as a successful leader, said his many developmental achievements made the party to give him the nod for continuity as a sole candidate.
“Gov Douye Diri is a successful leader and achiever. We needed somebody that can win the the election through his performance and the cast fell on him.
“It will be wrong to change the winning team. Being a serving governor, that is also performing, the asked him to return so he can continue his good works,” the Speaker explained.
