The Ijaw ethnic nation is believed to be the fourth largest ethnic group and the biggest minority group in Nigeria. They are mostly domiciled in the South South geo political zone but predominantly found in Bayelsa State.

They speak same language but with some variations in spelling and diction that points to the particular area or Local Government Area the speaker comes from or resides.

One thing that makes them unique and outstanding is their names, which showcases their culture and way of life.
