EOG Assures Ekpeye People of Living Up To Its Primary Responsibility

The National Chairman of Ekpeye Oil Gas Pipelines Host Families Association, EOG, Comrade Dogini Chidi has reiterated that the body would not jettison its primary responsibility it was created to pilot.
Comrade Dogini, who was fielding questions from journalists while on his way from Abuja, Saturday, July 15th at Port Harcourt International Airport listed securing employments, empowerment for Ekpeye people, youths especially and mitigating between Host Communities and International Oil Companies, IOCs operating within the Ekpeye Ethnic Nation.
He hinted that since the inauguration of the body, it has interfaced to resolve issues between stakeholders in the Oil and Gas Sector, given it’s relentless efforts to end the long time neglect by Oil and Gas exploration Companies of its Host communities.
The EOG national Leader further revealed that it was the body through its intelligence and surveillance unit that it discovered the great fraud perpetuated by an IOC through laying its pipes on same route used by a sister company.
On the area of youth employment and empowerment, he said much has been put in place and that the Ekpeye people would soon start to benefit maximally.
He urge the Companies operating in Ekpeye Land to include Ekpeye Sons and Daughters in position of trust as that we engender and create a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
The National Chairman of EOG enjoined the people to report issues bordering on marginalization, underdevelopment, neglect and wanton destruction of the environment by the IOCs and its subsidiaries.
Comrade Dogini further appealed to the IOCs to shun every act that that is inimical to the sustainability plans of development, as peace remains the panacea for development and progress.
