The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa, AIG Paul Alifa Omata, has lauded all Muslim Faithfuls, especially in Bayelsa and Rivers States, on their commitment to the Spiritual uplifting exercise.

The AIG, who made the appraisal in a press release on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 and signed by the Zonal Command’s Public Relations Officer, ZPPRO, CSP Ikwo Kevin Lafieghe, admonished them to continue to reflect on the essence of the Ramadan even after the Holy month by drawing closer to Allah, fostering a peaceful coexistence and showing love to the less privileged in the society.

Omata tasked the Commissioners of Police in the two commands on the need for a proactive and visibility policing of all nooks and crannies of their Commands with a view to nipping in the bud all forms of crimes and criminalities and to forestall a breakdown of law and order in this year’s Eid el fitr celebrations.

The release states: “Upon a successful conclusion of this year’s Ramadan fasting, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa, AIG Paul Alifa Omata, has lauded all Muslim Faithfuls in the two states, on their commitment to the Spiritual uplifting exercise. He further admonished them to continue to reflect on the essence of the Ramadan even after the Holy month by drawing closer to Allah, fostering a peaceful coexistence and showing love to the less privileged in the society.
