A female youth leader, Alexander Sarah Mibuenen has advocated for an equal opportunity for the girl child, as her boy counterpart.

She made the call in an exclusive interview with BochNews, Wednesday, October 11, at Mbiama Town of Ahoada West Local Government Area, to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child.

Mibuenen, who is the Woman Leader of Engenni Youth Assembly in Engenni Kingdom, Rivers State, stressed that the world would be a better place if she is given equal opportunities just like the boy child, hinted that the girl child is like a star, she brings light amongst others.

“The world will be a better place if we equally push our girls just like we do our boys. She can make hearts melt.

“Girls are patient, intelligent, skilful, beautiful, and above all the reflection of our future. Let us respect all girls and stand for them.

“Let us empower, educate, and uplift every girl child, ensuring they have the tools to create a brighter future.

“Girls are like stars; they bring light, grace, and beauty into the world. Shine on, young stars, and know that your light can change the world,” she posited.

She described the girl child that faces any form of adversity with courage and resilience as inspiring, added that her dream is valid and future limitless.

According to her encouraging words; “To the girls who face adversity with courage and resilience, your strength inspires us all. Your dreams are valid, and your future is limitless.”

The founder of Engenni Female Initiative urged the girl child who is still wallowing on self pity to embrace the reality and learn how to build her self esteem.
