Leaders Lack Of Commitment to the People, Not Poverty that is Nigeria Problem, Says VP Osinbajo

The Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo revealed that the country’s problems does not include poverty nor resources but leaders lack of commitment to the people.
Osibanjo made the revelation yesterday, February 24th, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi at his palace in Maiduguri, Borno state during his State Working visit to lunch MSME Clinic and Commissioning of projects executed by Borno State Government.
The Vice President said, “It is always exciting to come to Borno state and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. Borno state has proved so many things, it has proven what Nigeria can be, how resilient we are, how courageous we are and how committed we are on the Nigerian project.
“From the days of former Governor Kashim Shettima to date I have seen the steady hand of progress here in Borno state, a commitment to development, a commitment to growth. Let me turn over to Governor Umara Zulum who has proved that it is possible to do incredible things with very little and I think that just looking at his achievement, some many achievements every time I make a speech somewhere I always refer to what the governor has done because he has demonstrated that with little resources we can do a lot.”
He said the government is partnering with the state to create a one stop center for regulatory agencies under one roof .
“We will like to have NAFDAC BOI FIRS SON so that small businesses in this state can strive here, without having to travel all over the country,” he added
In his response, the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish International border markets in the state which shares boundaries with the Republic of Chad, Niger and Cameron.
The Royal father explained that Borno state shares boundary with Republic of Chad, Niger and Cameron.
His words: “It will be greater commercial interest for Nigeria to establish International Border markets along our borders with these countries. This will not promote trade and industry but also accelerate rapid growth and development of our border communities.”
