The Consolidated APC Support Groups, COASUG, South Zonal Co-ordinator, Princess Henrietta Emmanuel Bassey, has called on factional leaders within the party to reach compromises for the sake of party cohesion, unity and peace.

Bassey, who made the call while fielding questions from newsmen, Tuesday, April 17, during an online interview, explained that issues cannot be peacefully resolved except the factions involved agree to sheath their swords, by accepting resolutions reached by a third party.

She emphasized that the group is poised to wade and contribute in such issues at the South South zonal level if brought to its notice, and warned that a house that fights against itself cannot stand.

The zonal Leader further stated that COASUG being gender friendly, and women known for their peaceful dispositions, would bring about peace at all times.

“COASUG can enter in between and resolve the crises by meeting the fractional leaders, because they must belong to a support group which are under COASUG.

“Talk with them differently and later bring every one to the round table and talk with them.

“It should also be known that one party must surrender for peace to reign. We are all one as a party, it is not good to fight amongst ourselves, if not the party will fail because a house divided against itself cannot stand,” she advised.

On President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, she said; “COASUG women believe in renewed hope of Mr President. Women promote it more now, even though the economy is biting us much.

“It encourages women not to remain house wives anymore, we encourage them to engage in small scale businesses that can put food on the table to assist the man of the house.

“We are also encouraged to engage in Agriculture mostly as the government has decided to assist in agriculture as part of the renewed hope.

“Women are also encouraged to engage in entrepreneurship and skills acquisition, after training they will be provided with starter packs.”

She urged the South South women to hold on to COASUG, since according to her, ‘good things will soon knock on our door and we will smile, if we are steadfast and committed.’
