COASUG Pledges Support For Akwa Ibom State Governor . . . ‘ARISE’ Agenda Will Engender Development Says SSA

Hon Harrison Asuquo Sam, who made the pledge when the support group paid a courtesy call on the SSA to the Executive Governor on Youth Matters, Hon Iniobong Akpan, Wednesday, December 21, in Uyo, assured that the group will support and promote the good programmes of the governor.
Sam, who is the Director General of COASUG, thanked the governor for appointing Hon Iniobong Akpan as his SSA on Youth Matters, described him as a round peg in a round hole.
The COASUG DG further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his giant strides and ensuring that states have access to allocation that is needed for implementation of people oriented programmes.
His words: “I appreciate the governor for the appointment of Hon Iniobong Akpan as SSA Youth Matters, as a square peg in square hole. I pledge that COASUG Akwa Ibom State will support the programmes and policies of the government to ensure success and full implementation of people oriented programmes in the state.
“I, also thank Mr. President for the giant stride and ensuring that state have access to allocation to facilitate infrastructural development across states.
“I, pledge that COASUG will partner with all the states governors in the 36 states and FCT, where it has presence and support the government of Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.”
In his speech, COASUG’s Director on Strategic Planning and Security Services, Dr. Effiong Ekpo, lauds the people oriented programmes of the governor, added that the humility and hard work of the SSA is commendable and encouraging.
Princess Eme Okokon, who is also the state Co-ordinator of COASUG, prayed for more divine blessings upon the governor for his all embracing policies.
“I pray God to bless the state governor for all embracing policies that is devoid of party affiliation and I, ask for continuous guidance and direction for the government to succeed in his tenure,” she prayed.
The SSA on Youth Matters, Hon Iniobong Akpan responding, hinted that the state governor has resolved to develop the state through programmes as contained in ‘ARISE AGENDA ‘, across party lines, he described the governor as a true unifier and bridge builder.
Akpan said; “The governor has resolved to develop the state through programmes as contain in ‘Arise AGENDA’ across party lines.
“His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno is a detribalized governor that is ready to develop Akwa Ibom state and share prosperity to the people.
“The governor is prepared to work with all parties across the state, to give dividends of democracy and to ensure an open door policies that will accommodate the opposition and put Akwa Ibom on the line for unity and entrepreneurial development.”
COASUG is an amalgamation of about 200 support groups duly registered in All Progressives Congress, APC, that is poised for good governance and accountability.
