The second minor allegedly raped and blackmailed by Inspector Salihu Kazeem aka Prince Olamide has come forward to make her statement at the human rights desk of the Rivers State Police headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.

Speaking with journalists after her statement, the girl who just turned eighteen corroborated the statement of the 17 year old girl that they were both stripped naked, their nude pictures taken and raped till morning after the Inspector accused them of stealing his money.

Recall that the Inspector who accused them of stealing his money had denied taking nude videos and raping the underage girls but admitted having consentual sex with them.

Meanwhile, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Rivers State has condemned the alleged rape of the underage girls by the Police Inspector.

FIDA Chairperson Rivers State, Ada-Bio Briggs , in an interview with our Correspondent said; “Is very condemnable for that kind of act to have been done and is something that the Police has to thoroughly investigate and if the police officer is found culpable he should be made to face the law.

“We know that the Police has their own disciplinary measures. He should face that and also after facing that he should also face the court. You know that the offence of rape of a child is life imprisonment. Offence of rape is not something to be toiled with. Is something to be condemned. Owing to the fact that there is still issue of blackmail involved. Blackmail on its own, is a big offence.
FIDA Rivers State condemn it in totality”.

Also speaking, the Chairperson of Legal Care Advocacy Foundation, Jane James Esq said: “We commend the CP for inviting all parties upon hearing the matter and also taken steps to ensure the Police Officer is in custody. We are asking that let the investigation be devoid of every form of sentiment and emotion. Let all parties in the matter be given Justice”.
