INSECURITY: APC Led Gov’t Has Failed The People – Dr Dawari George . . . Says Birthday Celebrant Is A Trusted Friend, Brother, Colleague

by Vera KemepadeThe Action Alliance (AA) flag bearer for the Rivers State governorship 2023 election, Dr Dawari George has lampooned the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government on its inability to secure the lives and property of the people.
George, who stated this in Yenagoa recently while chatting with newsmen after a friend’s – Philip Slabor birthday party, called on the APC government to rise up to its responsibility of providing security for lives and property.
The AA flag bearer opined that the basic reason for the establishment of government is for the protection of lives and property, noting that any government that can not provide security has no reason to continue to remain in power.
According to him; “Providing security for lives and property is the basic reason for the establishment of government and any government who cannot secure its people has no legitimacy to continue to be at helm of affairs of the people.
“So we expect that government will begin to take responsibility in the area of security because that essentially is the reason for the establishment of government in the first place.”
He stressed that governance is not a difficult task, if only, the person in charge has all it takes to bring dividends to the people.
On his political ambition of leading the Rivers people, he said; “It is a simple thing, we intend to help them unveil new season of prosperity if given the opportunity”.
Hinting on the reason he was in Yenagoa, the AA Chieftain said he came to celebrate a trusted and committed friend that he has known over the years.
He stated that if people like the celebrant are given opportunity to serve, he would do wonders.
“Am here to celebrate a friend, colleague and brother, and my church member that I have known over the years. We have done so many things together.
“Philip Slaboh is trusted and committed to our relationship. He is focused and has the fear of God in him. Today is his golden jubilee birthday and also his book launch. So, am here celebrate and thank God with him,” he revealed.
It would be recalled that Philip Perekebi Slaboh celebrated his golden jubilee birthday and also, launched his book titled: “Steps For Building The Desired Leadership’, Saturday, August 27th.
