The serene atmosphere of Ogbele community was positively disrupted as the youths of O’Group endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ahoada East constituency II, Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Chief Napoleon Ukalikpe.

O’Group is made up of about seven (7) communities in the Igbu Upata Kingdom of Ekpeye Ethnic Nation, Ahoada East Local Government Area, Rivers State.

The communities, which were represented by the youth leaders of Ogbele and Oshiugboko communities, Comrades Smart Eferegbo and Noble Jewel respectively, said Ukalikpe was endorsed because of his grassroot friendliness amongst other qualities.

The endorsement was made public during the first O’Group Wrestling Fiesta hosted by Ogbele Community youths on Saturday, July, amidst a mammoth crowd from all the communities and other neighbouring communities from Abua/Odual local government Area.

In his speech, the Ogbele Youth President, Comr Smart Efferebo, assured that the youths of Ogbele are determined and committed for Ukalikpe’s candidacy to be victorious come 2023 General Elections, adding that the massive turnout was an eloquent testimony to that point.

Efferebo further stated that the Youths arrived at the decision having painstakingly x-rayed Ukalikpe’s political antecedent.

He disclosed that new youths should also enjoy the spec of office and be empowered to become millionaires, instead of revolving within same persons for twelve (12) years.

On his part, the Oshiugboko Youth President, Comr Noble Jewel, called on the youths of Constituency II to change the narrative come 2023 General Elections through their PVC.

Jewel stressed that the time has come for the youths to be more proactive and involved in taking decisions about their future, which according to him, can only be realized under Hon Ukalikpe.

He urged the youths not to continuously mortgage their conscience and future because of the peanuts received today from those who do not have them at heart, saying that it is better to sacrifice and enjoy than to enjoy now and suffer later.

Responding, Chief Hon. Napoleon Ukalikpe thanked the Youths for the endorsement, and added that the endorsement can only come to pass if they have gotten their PVCs.

Ukalikpe urged the youths to shun politicians that will buy them with money and afterwards forget them, but to identify with genuine politicians under a people oriented platform.

The State Assembly candidate informed the people that the days of rigging and ballot hijack is gone for good. He challenged the Youths to show working by shunning acts of criminalities

In a related development, the APC State Assembly candidate, Chief Hon Napoleon Ukalikpe earlier paid a condolence visit to an APC Stalwart, Mr Kingsley Miller and his mother over the death of their father, Chief Okpara Miller at Odiabidi community, Ward 08.

The late Chief Miller was the husband of former APC women leader of Ward 8 in Ahoada East LGA.
