Be Determined And Prayerful, Groom advises Couples

by Vera KemepadeAn accountant working in the office of the Technical Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Treasury, Account and Revenue, Innocent Akia,, has admonished intending couples to imbibe the spirit of determination and be prayerful before going into and during marriage.
He gave the admonition while speaking with newsmen during his wedding reception at Mathocrystal Hall in Yenagoa on Saturday, July 10th.
Akia who tied the nuptial knot with his heart- throb , Deborah Obordor, daughter of the lawmaker representing Ogbia Constituency 1, in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Mitema Obordor was full of gratitude to God for the successful wedding.
According to the groom, despite the failed relationships he had encountered in the past, he never gave up but was determined that he will get married.
“When i had failed relationships, I never gave up even when i was angry, I still have the determination that i must get married and it has come to pass.
“So i will say, despite failed and difficulty in your relationships, do not give up and do not always conclude it is over. Just move on, do not relent, surely, you will meet the right person,” he advised.
Reiterating how thankful he is to God, he further called on partners to always be prayerful to and stop chasing shadows, adding that if God is to bless someone with a life partner it has to be someone that will make you happy for the rest of your life.
Speaking earlier father of the bride, Hon Mitema Obordor expressed excitement that his daughter is tying the nuptial knot with Innocent Akia, he advised the couple to love and cherished each other.
Obordor also thanked all those that graced the occasion among whom are well wishers, lawmakers, commissioners, permanent secretaries, traditional rulers and other dignitaries.
