Troops of the Nigerian Army have on Tuesday, June 21st, intercepted a vehicle loaded with assorted explosives and ammunitions in Cross River State.

A press release signed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyeama Nwanchukwu, stated that troops of 13 Brigade operating under the command of 82 Division accosted the vehicle, a Toyota Camry with registration number, JAL 492 AA enroute Utanga Village towards Obudu Mountain in the state.

According to the statement, “Troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Amana attempted to stop the vehicle at their checkpoint but the driver evaded the checking and zoomed off.
