Give Her What You Admire In Other Women, Pastor Admonishes Groom

It was jubilation galore as family members, friends, well wishers appeared in colourful attires during the wedding and traditional marriage ceremony between Tariladei Gboriye Borogha and Prince Ekankumo Amgbare.

In his message, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, Imgbi Road, Amarata, Pastor Global Omoregbe while joining the couple in holy matrimony described marriage as sweet, beautiful and urged husbands to love their wives and provide for them.

Speaking on the topic “Responsibilities of Marriage”, the Minister of God said everyone needs companion to be successful while taking his text reading from Genesis 2:18.

He described women as the power base of the world, noting that man will become miserable without a woman in his life.

Pastor Omoregbe hinted that bad society is caused by bad marriage which produce wayward children, advised married couples to have the fear of God to raise good children.

The Man of God who quoted the Bible book of Ephesians 5: 22-25, charged wives to submit to their husbands and admonished husbands to love their wives, which according to him, was revealed by Solomon in the Old testament when he said; “Love your wife and be satisfied with her breast.”

The Man of God listed the responsibilities of marriage on the part of husband to include unconditional love, honour, value and respect.

He urged husbands to give their wives what they admire in other women and remain faithful.

Pastor Omoregbe further quoted from Luke 1:18 on strategies to protect marriage to include prayers, avoid wrong company, regular payment of tithes, learn to cook well and share whatever they have with each other.

Pastor Ebi Jones Odoni administered the communion on the couple, while Pastor Vincent Andrew reading from Deuteronony 28:1-14, pronounced the pastoral blessings on the couple and prayed God to bless, protect, be fruitful and grant them long life and prosperity.

The couple accompanied by family
members, signed the marriage Register, while Pastor Omoregbe presented the wedding certificate to the couple and formally pronounced them Mr. & Mrs. Prince Ekankumo Amgbare as husband and wife.

The Winners Church Choir sang Open Heaven spirit filled songs to bless the couple.

The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Samuel Numonengi who is the NUJ Chairman, Bayelsa State Council, in his opening remarks identified love, tolerance, good communication, faithfulness, respect for each other’s feelings and resistance to third party interference as corner stones to build a successful married life.

He described marriage as a continuous school of life where no body graduates, adding that it is the only institution participants are issued certificate on admission to learn, grow while living together to prove the worth of the certificate. He prayed God to bless the couple to live a fulfill married life.

The traditional marriage was conducted in the Ijaw native customs and tradition which witnessed exchange of drinks and payment of bride price and prayers from the bride’s father for the couple.

The couple in their vote of thanks expressed gratitude to God for bringing them together as husband and wife and thanked everyone that contributed in one way or the other to the success of their marriage.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion includes; HRH Emmanuel Namatebe, Prophet Munemune aka Ororo1, Mrs. Edna Amgbare, Chairman Bayelsa State Vigilante, Doubiyegha Alagba,HOD Engineering Department, Federal University Otuoke, Dr. Mamukuyomi Julie, the Opuzi Amgbare Royal family of Ogobiri among others.

The wedding reception and traditional marriage was held at the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Nigerian Union Of Journalists(NUJ), Ekeki Yenagoa.
