Gov. Ben Ayade

On behalf of myself, family and teeming supporters, I heartily felicitate with the supersonic Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary celebration.

I sincerely state that you have done well in governance, especially in the areas of prompt salary payments, industrialization of the state, the Bakassi Deep Sea Port, the super high way that will connect the northern part of the country with the Atlantic Ocean, Cocoa Processing Factory, lkom, revitalization of Bansara Rice Mill, Ogoja, Pylon Industry, Awi in Akamkpa, International Tourism Airport, Obudu.

Some people ignorantly argue (out of mischief, I think) that YOU have not done anything to attract encomiums, but I put it to them that it is during Professor Ayade’s tenure as governor that the long abandoned Calabar-lkom high way received federal attention, Akpet-Ikom Road is completed, work is ongoing from Akpet – Calabar, second lkom bridge (seventy percent complete).

Your food on the table policy has greatly reduced poverty, especially among youths in the State.

More of your achievements are; popular Garments Industry which comfortably removed over one thousand young men and women from the streets by employing them in the factory and are paid monthly salaries and the high quality Rice Seedlings Factory that also gave employment opportunities to youths.

I want to enjoin the well meaning citizens of the State to come together and support the governor to complete his tenure in this spirit of industrialization.

Sir, you have done well so far.

Happy Independence Anniversary sir.

Hon. Obi Steve Mbia,
Good Governance Advocate & State Chairman, Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), Cross River State.
