Bayelsa Gets Commissioners

Bayelsa State Govenor, Senator Douye Diri, has sworn in twenty-four Commissioners into his cabinet.
This is coming six months after his inauguration as the helmsman of the oil-rich state.

The ceremony took place at the Executive Chambers of Government House, Yenagoa on Tuesday, 25th August,2020.

The new commissioners and their portfolios include; Preye Broderick – Ministry of Special Duties , Esau Andrew -Ministry of Lands & Housing, Dr. Ibiere Jones – Ministry of Mineral Resources.

Others are Thompson Amule – Ministry of Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Grace Ayakpo Ekiotenne – Ministry of Transport and Stanley Braboke – Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment.
Moses Teibowei gets the Ministry of Works, Iselema Gbaranbiri – Ministry of Environment, while David Alagoa clinched Ministry of Agriculture.

Barr. Biriyai Dambo, SAN was inaugurated as the Commissioner for Justice/ Attorney General, Dr. Iti Orugbani got the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Development.

Other commissioners are, Promise Ekio – Science, Communication and Technology, Otokito Federal – Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity, Faith Opene – Women Affairs and Social Development.
Obosi Churson – Ministry of Special Duties , Ekisah Sinkumo – Ministry of Special Projects (Governor’s Office) Maxwell Ebibai – Ministry of Finance, Akpoebidei Alamieyeseigha – Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. Rex Flint George – Ministry of Special Duties,
Baraladei Daniel Igali – Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Ebitei Tonyon – Ministry of Power, Dr. Pabara Newton Igwele – Ministry of Health, Hon. Ayiba Duba – Ministry of Information and Orientation, Hon. Gentle Emelah – Ministry of Education.
