Ahoada East Youths Support Resignation of LGA SOLAD . . . Reveal Monumental Financial Infringement To The Tune of Millions

by Pearl Harold Youths from Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, have indicated support for the alleged resignation of the LGA SOLAD.
In a press briefing with some media houses, Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Ahoada Town, they called on the concerned authorities for the acceptance of the resignation letter of Mr Goodluck Iheanacho as the Administrator Ahoada East LGA in order to sustain the fragile peace being enjoyed by residents.
They stated that the move for the resignation of the LGA Sole Administrator, Mr Goodluck Iheanacho, was as a result of wanton and fraudulent self enrichment against other interest groups.
A Youth activist and ardent follower of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, interviewed by Our Correspondent, said the figures gotten so far from what the LGA SOLAD may have embezzled is like an iceberg.
The Wikematic, who craved for anonymity, claimed that other sins of the resigned SOLAD, are not servicing the structure, running the council affairs solely like nobody nominated nor appointed him, refusing to acknowledge the existence of Party elders and leaders and self-centredness.
Another party faithful, for fear of being witch hunted, anonymously hinted that the SOLAD’s greed had made him to acquire properties all over the State, against empowering the people, especially the party members as done by Simplified group.
He revealed that whatever happened was as a result of Mr.Goodluck Iheanacho’s brazen demonstrations of corruption and administrative ineptitude, adding that these and more prompted the confrontation by the youths.
The allegations levelled against the resigned LGA SOLAD were; the embezzlement of Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira, (7,500.000.00) meant for vehicle maintenance, with no physical council vehicles to maintain, Retiring of Four Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (4,450.000.00) with the name of one Mr Hector Ekeakita, Increment of Security Votes from Fifteen Million Naira (15.000.000.00) to Sixty Million Naira (60.000.000.00), Padding of April Workers Salary from Two Hundred and Ninety Two Million, Nine Hundred and Sixty Nine Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Three Naira , Eighty Three Kobo (292,969,453.83) to Three Hundred and Ninety Two Million, Nine Hundred and Sixty Nine Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Three Naira, Eighty Three Kobo (392,969,453.83), with a difference of One Hundred Million Naira (100,000.000.00).
Continuing, the anonymous party faithful, said the wages for political appointees was also doctored by the embattled LGA SOLAD from Fifty Million Naira (50.000.000.00) to Eighty Six Million Naira (86,000.000.00), amounting to a difference of Thirty Six Million Naira (36,000.000.00).
He said through the craze for fraudulently enriching himself, Mr Goodluck Iheanacho had within about two months of being in the office, acquired 10 Plots Of Land At Ula-Upata Town In Ahoada East LGA, 6 Plots Of Land In Rumuagholu Town, a Toyota Highlander SUV worth Forty Eight Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (48,800,000.00) with Lagos State Registration Number, APP 351 and a Toyota RAV4 SUV worth Fourteen Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (14,800,000.00) with Lagos Registration Number, APP 350.
The source claimed that all the acquisitions are amidst lack of empowerment and skills acquisition For the youths.
