The Orlukwor Kingdom Monarch, His Royal Highness, Eze Prince Ike Ehie JP, Eze Igbu Orlukwor II, Eze Ehie II, has called on his people to eschew bitterness and acrimony, and choose the path of sacrifice and unity of purpose in order to develop the kingdom speedily.
The royal father, who gave the Easter charge while chatting with some correspondents of regional based newspapers and online news platforms, described the death of Christ as an epitome of sacrifice, adding that His resurrection was as a result of unity of purpose between Christ the Son and God Almighty.
Eze Ehie urged Christians and his people of Orlukwor Kingdom, to leverage on the lessons of Christ’s resurrection and imbibe the message of unity of purpose to achieve victory over the nation’s current hardship and political travails in the State.
He charged the people to remain positive and draw strength from Christ’s love and sacrificial death for humanity and his gift of salvation, as according to him, ‘sacrifice is the key to achieve and surmount every challenging situations’.
In his words, “Except we consciously accept to be selfless and embrace the virtues of servanthood, sacrifice and passion for service, as exemplified by Jesus Christ, nothing will truly work as rapid as it ought to”.
“This season, Easter, reminds us all of the sacrificial death of Christ for humanity and His gift of salvation and redemption to those that believe.
“It reminds mankind of servanthood and passion for service, as exemplified by Jesus Christ, who died to save humanity from sin and reconcile us to God.
“Easter should rather make us reflect on the power of Christ’s love and the triumph of hope over despair and every challenge in life.”
He urged the people to remain positive of the possibilities within the kingdom, even with the lack in the midst of abundance, poverty in wealth.
He stated that they should draw strength through hope that they would triumph over the man made challenges they are currently faced with.
Eze Ehie hinted that as Christians are blessed in salvation, so are his people blessed in abundance of natural resources.
