The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC),
Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, following his award as the prestigious “African Public Service Award” by the African Heritage awards in Morocco.
A statement signed by National President, MOSIEND, Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West, the group lauded Dr. Ogbuku for his visionary and people-centric leadership, which has catalyzed rapid socioeconomic and infrastructural development across the Niger Delta.
West described Dr. Ogbuku’s administration as a transformational force, shifting the Commission’s focus from “transaction to transformation.” Under his strategic guidance, the NDDC has implemented projects that have significantly impacted rural communities—aligning seamlessly with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“This award is a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ogbuku’s tireless efforts to uplift the Niger Delta. His leadership has not only brought renewed trust in the NDDC but has also inspired hope among the people,” West stated.

MOSIEND called on all Niger Delta stakeholders to rally behind Dr. Ogbuku, urging detractors to reconsider their stance and desist from distractions that could derail the region’s progress.
“We also appeal to our youths to steer clear of activities that tarnish the image of our region. Instead, we encourage them to become ambassadors of peace and development, working towards making the Niger Delta a first-choice global business destination,” West added.
MOSIEND reaffirms its full support for Dr. Ogbuku and his administration, pledging to partner in driving positive change and sustainable development across the region.
