The Royal Father of Igbu Orlukwor Kingdom in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria, His Royal Majesty, Eze Prince Ike Ehie JP, Eze Igbu Orlukwor II, Eze Ehie II ,has tasked students of the Kingdom to act and exhibit traits that would engender a peaceful coexistence.
Eze Ehie, who received the leaders and executives of Igbu Orlukwor Students Parliament in session on Saturday, November 23, 2024, urged the students to promote peace, progress that would bring prosperity and development to the area.
He challenged the students to desist from acts and actions that would cause the area ridicule, embarrassment, which according to him , would demarket the area and cause investors to leave in droves.
The royal father assured the students of letting them have their due whenever it is applicable.
The king ,who advised them to take their studies seriously, hinted that every crown comes with sacrifice, commitment and determination.
He pledged his total support for the planned convention and beyond.
The Igbu Orlukwor Students leader, Comrade Abel Israel, while introducing members of the Caretaker Committee Executives, said the visit was to pay allegiance to the Igbu Orlukwor King and also to intimate him of the existence of the body, amongst other things.
Also speaking, the Acting Chairman of Igbu Orlukwor Students Parliament, Comrade Matthew Chimenimeh, while thanking the Monarch for his warm reception, hinted that the students body would hold its maiden annual convention this coming December, and solicited the Eze’s blessings.
Speaking with some Reporters after the visit, the CTC Chairman said; “We were deeply moved by the king’s words of wisdom and encouragement, and we left his palace inspired and motivated to continue working towards a brighter future for our Union and Kingdom.
“The Caretaker Committee is moving forward with the plans for a successful and history making convention. We are confident that we will continue to have the support of all Igbu Orlukwor Students and Leaders both home and in the diaspora.
“To this end, let all strive to make Igbu Orlukwor Students Parliament and Kingdom a better place for all.”
