PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT: Rivers Police Command Parades 7 Officers . . . Kills Four Cultists

The Rivers State Police Command has paraded seven of its officers for alleged professional misconduct.
The Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, while parading its officers stated that crime and criminality know no status, whether a police officer or civilian.
He said Investigation is ongoing and assured the public that the Police will not cover anybody.
The Commissioner reiterated that neither the Inspector General of Police, Assistant Inspector General nor himself sent any police officer to commit crime. He advised Police personnel to live beyond normal standard of discipline.
CP Emeka promised that when investigation is finished, necessary disciplinary procedure will follow in the case.
Meanwhile, Peter Chukwu, the lawyer to the Social media influencer, who was allegedly extorted N50,000 has commended the CP for the arrest, appealing that the command continues with the investigation and do the needful.
In a related development, the Commissioner’s Strike Force last week Sunday, September 17, arrested two male suspects, Chibuike Irona and Michael Ibe in a black toyota camry at Igwurita, Ikwerre Local Government Area, and recovered three locally
made pistols.
CP Emeka further disclosed that operatives of the command last week Sunday arrested one ThankGod Barine while trying to rob one Sam Saturday at Kira in Tai, Local Government Area.
He said one locally made gun was recovered from the suspect.
CP Emeka also revealed that on Sunday, September 10, acting on actionable intelligence that Iceland cultists/kidnappers led by David Okpara aka 2Baba and his gang which murdered Ahoada DPO, SP Bako were in their hideout in Odiemudie community Ahoada East Local Government Area, the Ahoada Area Command and other Tactical Units mobilized and stormed the forest where the hoodlums were.
He stated that the hoodlums engaged operatives in fierce gun battle, some of the cultists sustained bullet injury, while three were arrested in the process.
He hinted that the four fatally injured suspects were later confirmed dead in the hospital.
In the same vein, a suspected cultist, one Siga was arrested on September 13, by men of Anti Cultism Unit when he was about to sell AK 47 riffle at B-Dere community in Gokana Local Government Area.
CP Emeka also disclosed that three suspects one ‘Super’, George and Isaac were arrested for murder of Progress Izuo and harvesting of his male organ at Abua/Odual LGA
He said the suspects have been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Port Harcourt for discrete investigation.
