POLICE ZONE 16: Be Firm in Discharge of Duty, AIG Eboka Charges Officers . . . Cautions Against Indiscipline, Human Rights Abuse

The new Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 16, Yenagoa, Eboka Friday, has charged officers and men of the command to be firm in the discharge of their policing duties.
AIG Eboka gave the charge on his official assumption of duty, Monday, November 14th at the Zonal Command Headquarters, Yenagoa.
The AIG added that their honesty, straightforwardness and good relationship with members of the public would go a long way to douse tension in the season of electioneering.
He explained that officers’ firmness would also help to curb crime and criminality in the society, stressing that acts that are inimical to promote the good image of the force should be avoided.
The new zonal Chief Police warned against all forms of indiscipline, pointing out that officers and men should choose to exhibit self discipline against enforced discipline as the best type of discipline is self discipline.
He warned them to reciprocate the good deed of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkaline since he assumed duty by being up and doing in their assigned duties.
The AIG, who assured the public of a more peaceful electioneering season, warned criminals to either relocate or drop the ignorable act of crime.
AIG Eboka Friday is said to have enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Superintendent Cadet, March 1st, 1988. He has a degree in Political Science.
He has passion in golfing and football.
The police chief has served meritoriously well in many Divisions and Commands. His last duty post before his promotion and subsequent posting as the Assistant Inspector General in charge of Zone 16, was as the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command.
He is married and blessed with children.
