VOTERS SENSITIZATION: Ahoada East APC To Transport Goods, Market Women To Hinterlands . . . Poises To Synergize With The Grassroots

by Bello Glory OmokhukpoThe All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahoada East Local Government Area Chapter of Rivers State, Nigeria, has said it would provide free transportation of goods and market women from Ahoada town to their various destinations within the Ekpeye Ethnic Nation as part of conclusion of its one month voters sensitization campaign.
The event, which will take place at Ahoada Main Motor Park, beside the market from the morning hours, will hold on Wednesday, September 29.
According to a statement co-signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the LGA Party Chairman on Publicity, Documentation and Administrative Secretary,Oyagiri Chime-emele and Hon Noble Prince respectively, the move is the party’s avowed stand to identify with the grassroots as it has always done by footing the bills for all goods and passengers traveling to the hinterlands.
The statement urged the public to avail themselves of the opportunity, adding that the organisers would appreciate orderliness and an atmosphere of tranquility.

It further thanked the park unions for their co-operation, which according to the statement, is a confirmation that they have the people in mind.
The free goods and passengers transportation exercise, the statement hinted, is being sponsored by the LGA party chairman, King Salvation Ezegwogwo JP.
The statement read: “The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahoada East LGA chapter will continue its concluding part of the one month long voters sensitization campaign by footing the transportation bills of all goods and passengers using the Ahoada Main Motor Park.
“The party in the LGA has vowed to identify and ameliorate the challenges faced by the people in whatever way it could.
“The routes to be covered in tomorrow’s exercise are Upata, Ubie, Akoh, Igbuduya/Ugbobi, Abua and Omoku areas.
“Market women, youths and other possible passengers are enjoined to make the exercise a success by being orderly and peaceful.
“This good gesture is solely sponsored by the LGA party chairman, King Salvation Ezegwogwo JP.
It would be recalled that the party had also last weekend gifted bike riders and motorists free fuel that covered more than 3,000 bikers.
