Bayelsa Police Command Apprehends Kidnap Suspects . . . Recovers Live Ammunition, Other Items

The Bayelsa State Police Command has apprehended two kidnap suspects that terrorized the Yenagoa axis of the state.
A signed press release by the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Asinim Butswat, and made available to journalists on Friday, May 23th, says; “Operatives of the Anti kidnapping unit, Bayelsa State Command while acting on a tip-off on 12th May, 2022 at about 1750 hours, bursted a gun running gang at a Brothel, at Ayama, Yenagoa Local Government Area.”
The release further stated that the suspects one Seibo Dokubo ‘m’ 32 years, a native of Degema, Rivers State and one Boma Daniel ‘m’ 45 years, a native of Patani, Delta State, wanted to procure AK-47 Riffles for Kidnap purposes.”
The release listed as items recovered; One Brownie Pistol loaded with eight .9mm ammunition, three 12.7mm expended ammunition, sum of two million naira cash and a suspected stolen Toyota Hilux 2021 model without registration number, were recovered from the suspects.
Butswat said the suspects are cooperating with Police in it’s investigation and will be charge to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
