The vow which was made by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa, in Owerri, further described the ESN operatives as hoodlums and would be treated as murderers by the State government.
Akaolisa who confirmed the ongoing military operations in the area, said; “The Imo State Government invited the military to flush out the hoodlums who call themselves ESN in Orlu.
“The IPOB’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was endangering the people of the state by the ongoing ESN activities in the Orlu area.”
The commissioner who regrettably listed the number of people the ESN personnel had allegedly killed in the State since 2020, said; “The proscribed organisation cashed in on the EndSARS protest last year to procure rifles for the ongoing operation.”
He revealed that the arrested ESN operatives would be arraigned by the State government for murder at the end of investigation, commending the Federal Government for deploying troops in the area.
