Some people are said to be born kings, while some kingship is bestowed upon them. Others are made kings.

Ike Ehie could be described as fallen on the category of those born king from heaven above, and ordained to lead, rule men on earth.

The Ozochi community, in Ahoada East Local Government Area born king-elect, an experienced traditionalist had garnered much expertise as a former community paramount ruler, Eze Nwe Ula of his community for about five years.

His reign as the community paramount ruler brought an end to insecurity and subsequently, made most natives to return home for fishing and farming, being the major occupation of the people.

Born into royalty, he has also served as a Chief of Staff to Eze Igbu Upata, where he honed his way in traditional affairs of higher level. He was noted for his organisational skills and down to earth boldness in handling issues thrown at him by his office, which he has promised to bring to bear in his new responsibility.

Other office responsibilities he has handled before were; vice chairman, Igbu Ede Council of Chiefs, S.A to LGA Executive Chairman, Chairman, Upata Flood Committee and currently, Vice Chairman, Ekpeye Flood Committee.

Experienced, vast, urbane and sociable, the king- elect has assured the people of Igbu Olukwo ‘O’ Group to hold regular talk shops on the dangers inherent in prostitution, girl-child abuse and child trafficking

Areas of priority he has mapped out for immediate implementation are; to curb youths restiveness through employment generation and skills acquisition, zero tolerance on insecurity, harnessing the culture and traditional artefacts for development, boosting of small and medium scale businesses amongst others.

Ike Ehie, who is vast in environmental services, has promised to look into environmental pollution as a result of the toxic and hazardous waste produced by companies operating in his domain through dialogue, backed by legal frameworks.

He urged the women to be calm, expectant as inter community roads would be fixed to ease the transportation of their agro products and other needs.

Igbu Olukwo Kingdom is said to be created in 1974 by Eze Ashirim Unoshi, Eze Ekpeye Logbo I. Ike Ehie is the second king of the people of Orlukwo ‘O’ Group kingdom. The first son of the Ehie’s royal dynasty of Ozochi community.

It should be noted that the first Eze Igbu Olukwo Kingdom, Eze John Wilson, JP, was also from the same community.
