The Director General, DG, of Consolidated All Progressives Congress Support Groups, COASUG, Hon Harrison Asuquo Sam, has congratulated Muslim Brothers and sisters, especially those who are members of the group, as they celebrate Eid-el-fitr.
The COASUG DG urged them to continue to embrace and practice the reasons behind the 40 days fasting and prayers, in order not to make it a mere religious tradition that would add no meaning to humanity.
Sam, who made the statement in a special media chat at Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, prayed that this year’s Eid brings prosperity, peace and good health for all Muslim faithfuls and the nation at large.
According to him: ” I pray that this celebration comes with divine prosperity, peace and good health to COASUG Muslim members and the nation.
“May Allah shower His countless blessings upon you and your loved ones.”
He further reminded the Muslim Brothers and Sisters that only those who are peaceful exhibit love and charitable, can lay claims to be godly.
The COASUG Boss thanked members for their unrelenting commitment, zeal and unwavering patriotism, and charged that same enthusiasm and support should be given to the Renewed Hope government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, since its success would translate to the success of COASUG.
He further hinted that COASUG has come to play the role of a gadfly in the polity, and enjoined members to remain focused and steadfast.
The DG used the opportunity to reassure members of partaking in any benefits that would accrue to the group.
