The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has been described as a representative of the African masses and not just that of Nigeria.

The National Vice Chairman, South South, Prince Favour Reuben, who made the assertion in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State after his meeting with the state and party local government chairmen, Monday, September 5th, added that once Peter Obi becomes the President of Nigeria, Africans would be liberated.

His words: “Remember, Nigeria is the soul of Africa. Once Peter Obi has won, African would be liberated.

“Peter Obi is not just representing Nigeria but the entire African masses, especially those suffering.

On the call by some parties for Peter Obi’s disqualification, he said; “How can you disqualify the most qualified candidate.

“Among all the candidates, Peter Obi is the most qualified. He is the only candidate accepted world wide.

“Unless Nigerians have decided to be controlled by forces beyond their power that we should remain perpetually in failure, suffering, in darkness, then Nigerians will now talk of the disqualification of Peter Obi.

“The world has accepted him, all what it is waiting for is his endorsement by Nigerians. He has promised to transform Nigeria if he wins the election.

“Peter Obi has no skeleton in his cupboard that would have called for his disqualification. He has no certificate scandal, nor doubts in Nigeria citizenship like other candidates are alleged. So, what will be the basis for his disqualification? He is the most credible candidate that Nigeria has far as 2023 General Elections is concerned”

The Labour Party chieftain stressed that these reasons are enough for all meaningful Nigerians to support the party’s presidential candidate so that the country would be revamped.

He further explained that he was in Yenagoa to strategize with the state and local government chairmen on how to capture Bayelsa State for the party, declaring that his party had achieved eighty percent (80%) victory in mobilization in the entire South South region, while working on the twenty percent to guarantee one hundred percent winning.

Rueben, who described Peter Obi as a movement, frowned at the erroneous insinuations that he has no structure, while the party’s registration indexes is swelling on daily basis.

According to him, the successes recorded in states where the million march for Peter Obi had taken place, especially in the north, showed that the party has been embraced by Nigerians.

“To win elections is already in our kits. You know that the Lecturer, suffering students, market women, okada rider, every suffering Nigerian are captured in our structure.

“And the suffering Nigerians are greater in number than the elite. It is the elite that are scared of the movement.

“Peter Obi is a movement, not just about Labour Party because that would limit the operation. You have a lot of interest from different political party to carry along.”
