The Bayelsa State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Eneye Zidou, has hinted that the state would be Obidient by September 17th through its one million man march.
Zidou, who was fielding questions from journalists, Monday September 5th at the party’s secretariat, explained that the march will be a confirmation against those who claim that the party’s presidential candidate has no structures.
He maintained that the party has structures from the state to the unit levels, adding that the one million march is organised by Peter Obi support groups in the state and not the party directly.
The state party chieftain further revealed that the not having structures propaganda had edged them to work more, adding that the results have been encouraging.
He explained that the fear of contravening the Electoral Act is the reason the party has not made much noise, promising to be heard after September 28th when the ban on political campaigns will be lifted.
He stated that since Peter Obi represents integrity, the state chapter of the party is trying hard to replicate same with quality candidates that will fly its flags and not those who have soiled themselves.
“We want to change the dynamics and narrative of what democracy should be” he added.
The LP number one man hinted that the party is for all Nigerians, irrespective of one’s professional affiliations.
He called on Bayelsans to utilize the opportunity the Labour Party is presenting to end insecurity, unemployment and shun vote selling.
