TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE: Ogbo Community Agog, As Comr. Bestman Gives Out Sister . . . My Wife Is A Natural Woman – Husband

The serene town of Ogbo in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State was agog as Comrade Bestman Nnadi gave out his younger sister in marriage.

The ceremony which took place at Ogbo Community Primary School field, Saturday May 28th, saw political bigwigs from far and near graced the occasion.

Chatting with newsmen during the event, Comr Bestman Nnadi, described the ceremony as epoch in his family, since he stood in as the father of the bride.

Nnadi who described the bride, Umashichi Juliet Nnadi, aka Ada Bestman, as humble, humane, responsible and above all, God fearing, added that if marriage is not ordained by God Almighty, he would not have given her out.

The Board of Trustees chairman of Best Progressives Forum (BPF) further advised spinsters to put their trust in God by living responsibly, adding that, their life partners would come their way at the appointed time.

Nnadi, who is also the political party leader of his Ward 13, appealed to parents to stand up to their responsibility of raising their children in the ways of the Lord, who always maketh things aright.

In her response, the bride’s mother, Madam Nnadi tagged the day as the happiest in her life, saying that God has wiped her tears.

Madam Nnadi, who hinted that her mates had given their daughters out in marriage years back, noted that God does His thing at His time and had smiled on her family.
She prayed that other families in need of similar miracle be visited as well.

She urged girls to live responsible lives laced with hard work and the fear of God, while the boys should shun the crave for quick money and master the act of shouldering responsibility.

The bride’s mother called on the new couple to always treat each other in mutual understanding and co-operation, noting that a stable marriage does not mean absence of misunderstanding but the capability to mutually accomodate each others short comings.

She further advised that third party intrusion, gossiping and lack of trust be avoided, as according to her; ‘these are tools used by the common enemy to cause disaffection between couple.

Also speaking, the groom, Evans Jared Onuabi, described his soulmate as a natural woman, who has the fear of God, hard working, responsible and respectful.

Evans, who was fielding questions from journalists after the reception ceremony revealed that he met his wife during an event and was initially scared to approach her, thinking that she is like other ‘village girls’, that are insultive.

According to him; “The narrative changed when I met her the second time accidentally in her community and the result is today’s ceremony.

“My wife is a natural woman that is respectful, responsible, hard working, dutiful and has the fear of God.

“Every girl has her man but bad or wrong attitude delays some marriages. So, the girls should shun indecency and return back to the natural woman that meets God’s expectations.

The ceremony was graced by some political bigwigs and captains of industries, like Engr. Musa Arogba, National Treasurer GNF, Engr. Livingstone Ichela, Pst. Obihiele John, Engr. Benjamin Uzozie.

Others were; Hon Prince Noble, Admin Secretary to the LGA Party Chairman, Dr. Sokari Sobomate T., Hon Washington Major, Mrs. Felicia Chidiebere and Comr Oyagiri Chime-emele, SSA on Information and Documentation to the LGA Party Chairman, Hon Wisdom Emejim, MRP candidate for Rivers State House of Assembly Ahoada East Constituency I, Benim Patrick, APC Ward 11 chairman, Promise Olusele, APC social media influencer, Solomon Wilfred Unyah, MC and journalist and others too numerous to mention.

The wedding ceremony took place earlier same day at the First African Church, Ogbo Community.
