Timi-Omubo Agala Picks Intent And Nomination Forms, Promises To Consolidate On Achievements

The Lawmaker representing Brass Constituency ll in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Timi‐Omubo Agala has promised to consolidate on his achievements if given the mandate in the next dispensation.

Agala. who is seeking re‐election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), picked his Interest and Nomination forms to contest in the 2023 State House of Assembly Election on Friday, May 6th at the party secretariat in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

According to him, his constituents trusted him with their mandate three years back and that had exposed him to a lot in lawmaking process.

His words: “My people trusted me with their mandate three years back in the business of lawmaking. You need time and process to learn. I have learnt for three years or thereabout and I want to believe its been worth a while so far.

“I may have my short comings but because have learnt a lot, am seeking the mandate of my people to return to the State House of Assembly, so that what i have learnt in the past three years, i will be able to consolidate on it in the next four years.”

The Minority Whip assured his constituents of having the requisite knowledge and experience to represent them, having served in the same capacity for three years.

Speaking on his achievements, Agala said he sponsored the motion for the commencement of the Maritime Academy in Okpoma and supported other motions for the benefit of the state.

The Assembly member expressed confidence that if re‐elected, he would collaborate with his colleagues to ensure more development is brought to Brass Constituency ll.

A local government stakeholder from Ward 4, Firimondi Josiah Sawari, who spoke to journalists, described the Lawmaker as a leader who had the interest of his people at heart and effectively represented them in the State House of Assembly.

Another stakeholder, Kpokiri Piri of Ward 5, Brass constituency ll on his part said the present Minority Whip is the best choice for the Constituency.
