The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area chapter, Rivers State, King Salvation Ezegwogwo JP, has extended his good wishes and greetings to all Nigerian workers, especially, those of the LGA and Rivers state on this year’s May Day celebration.
King Ezegwogwo, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Information and Documentation, Comrade Oyagiri Chime-emele, described Nigerian workers as critical pilots of development despite the challenges they face.
“We are celebrating the enormous efforts of all the workers who have given their sweat and blood in building our great nation in time past and today.
“It is a fact that the Nigerian workers remain one of the most dedicated, resilient and hardworking in the world. They remain critical pilots of the nation’s economical development.
“Though, the challenges are enormous, we celebrate Nigerian workers for staying committed, active and dedicated to growing our economy,” he said.
The party chairman called on the workers to stand up for democracy by sensitizing the youths against electoral crimes and social vices before, during and after elections.
“The labour and trade unions must also sensitize the youths against all forms of electoral crimes at all times, especially this electioneering season”, he added.
