‘You Lied’, High Chief Ukadike Challenges Dakuku Peterside
2 min readRIVERS: A former Senatorial Candidate of Freedom and Justice Party in Imo State and former Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, High Chief (Amb) Bobby Ukadike, (Dan Kano of Nigeria), the Apiti Ndigbo, has reacted to an article titled: “Governor Wike: When facts yield to pernicious propaganda,” written by Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
Briefing Journalists in Port Harcourt, Chief Ukadike who may also be a Presidential Aspirant come 2023, said that he has lived in Rivers State since 1967 and that he witnessed both the civilian and military governments in Rivers State, that was why he came out boldly to say that all the statements made by Peterside are not correct.
Ukadike reminded Dakuku Peterside that Governor Wike still has nearly two more years of his administration left and with the promise that he will impact every Local Government with legacy projects and will complete all projects he has embarked on, he has already written his name in gold in the annals of time.
He posists that is no amount of bellyaching or convoluted analysis can alter that, adding that Governor Wike is working as if it is his first tenure.
The High Chief maintained that from available indices, Governor Wike is the best governor Rivers State ever had. He said that his works in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, human capital development and sports, speak for themselves in the 23 Local Government Areas.
He said: “He has worked harder than other governors, that is why they call him Mr Project. He is using Rivers money to develop Rivers State and instead of him to be vilified, he should be praised.”
He also said: The residents of Port Harcourt are happy with what he is doing in Rivers State and we urge him that he should not be distracted by the ranting of Dakuku Peterside and his cohorts.”
High Chief Ukadike told newsmen that even Dr Peter Odili, a former governor of Rivers State confirmed that Governor Wike has done more than his predecessors.
According to Chief Ukadike, Gov. Wike is an enigma, a colossus and a political giant who has done what Napoleon couldn’t do. Thus Gov. Wike should be described as a Golden Governor.
“On behalf of my family and my political followers, I am assuring Governor Nyesom Wike of our untainted loyalty and support to him and his Government,” he concluded.
