Oyo State NYSC Kick Starts SAED Programme

The Oyo State National Youth Service Corps, Iseyin Camp has kicked started its skill acquisitions and entrepreneurship development (SAED) programme Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
The State NYSC coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe enjoined Corp members to make maximal use of the opportunity the programme presented.
She further restated the need for the Corp members to embrace it, adding that the programme will help in self employment, while waiting for white collar jobs.
The SAED programme was said to have been inaugurated in March 2012 to curb youths restiveness in the country.
It’s geared towards equipping Corp members through skills acquisition for self employment and reliance against the harsh economic situation.
Skills taught are; Safety and Environment, Hair Dressing, Fashion Designing, Customization and Bridal Making.
Other skills are; Culture and Tourism, Shoe Making, ICT, Photography, Energy Installation, Agriculture, Baking and Automobiles.
