Permanent Solution Needed For Bayelsa Perennial Flooding – Lala Foundation President

The president of Learning And Life Aid(LALA) Foundation , Lilian Ebifegha has advocated that a permanent solution be proffered to prevent the perennial flooding in the Niger Delta region, especially Bayelsa State.
Ebifegha muted the idea while speaking with Newshounds at Abuwari Community in Opokuma Clan, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area , Bayelsa State after giving out palliative items to 77 households, with one person representing a family.
She admitted that giving out palliatives was only to cushion the effect of the devastating flood on the people, not a lasting solution to the challenges posed by the flood.
She called on well-meaning Nigerians and indigenes of the State to support the people since they have lost their means of livelihood, household items and farm produce to the flood.
She applauded the Heritage Bank for its sponsorship trust.
The President said the vision of the foundation is to make the area habitable for her people through educational skills and life aide support programmes, like the giving out of the palliatives.
A beneficiary of the flood palliative, Frank Lucky thanked the foundation for its kind gesture and for remembering Abuwari Community and others in Opokuma Clan.
Lucky observed that the distribution coordination was superb and orderly, devoid of rush and fighting.
He prayed that God Almighty bless members of the foundation and give them the heart to do more.
Items distributed by the LALA Foundation are; bags of 10kg rice, cartons of indomie, mosquito nets, rainboots, cutlasses, hoes.
