God Called Me To Bless The Less Privileged – Bishop Igbiks

Ministers of the gospel today are perceived by many to be after monetary gains from members.
However, Bishop Benjamin Igbikioyibo David, the Chief Shepherd of Word of Hope Ministry, Abonnema Town in Akuku Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, stands out of the crowd, as he says God called him to be a blessing to the less privileged in the society, and that is what he has been doing in his ministry.
Bishop David , who made the statement in his church auditorium while fielding questions from Newshounds,
added that his church is basically for deliverance, prophetic healing based on the Word of God.
He revealed that he started from nothing to the point God has placed him today, noting that the church started as a prayer ministry after his relocation from Port Harcourt as divinely directed.
On his calling, the Chief Shepherd said, “People, especially non members come for one assistance or the other. Some are financial,
While others come for other reasons. We also gave scholarship to some JSS Three students.
“During the lockdown, we gave palliatives to more than thirty people. We gave out indomies, rice, and other food items to widows and destitutes.
“We have been doing it and God has been faithful to us. We do not allow our members to lack. It is His command and I must obey,” he said.
On other Ministers attitude of receiving from members than giving, he said, “I can not talk about other Ministers, i was not there when God called them. But for me, God commanded me to give, to be a blessing to others. I can speak of just mine”.
The Man of God further said that, “I do not have my own house. I do not have a car, because God told me to put His first. So,
I must build God’s first. We have acquired four plots of land recently for that purpose.
“I will not build mine except I have completed God’s house. It is the command”.
He appreciated his team of Ministers, workers for their faithfulness and steadfastness to God.
He also revealed that he was working in an oil servicing company before he was called to serve and shepherd God’s flocks through prophetic prayers and deliverance.
He called on the people to embrace Christ, since He is the only succour to challenges of life.
Word of Hope Ministry started about four years. It has a branch in Degema with two service sessions.
