Royal Father Lauds Upata Monarch for Developmental Initiatives
2 min readThe traditional ruler of Evo Kingdom, His Majesty, Eze Leslie Eke, JP, Eze Gbakagbaka, has commended the Nye Udu Upata III, His Majesty, Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, JP for the giant strides he has achieved in his kingdom within three years of ascending the stool.
Eze Gbakagbaka, made the remarks when he visited the Upata monarch in his office in Edeoha, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State recently.
The traditional ruler, who expressed delight over the monarch’s effort to develop the kingdom, commended him for
uniting the various ethnic groups in the State.
While admonishing detractors to desist from creating disharmony in the kingdom, the royal father said that HM Otuwarikpo had achieved so much within three years of his coronation.
According to him, Nye Udu Otuwarikpo is a visionary leader whose type is not common in the traditional institution, adding that the monarch had surpassed expectations.
The royal father said “He has built our image beyond our imagination. My presence here shows the amount of respect we have for him”.
In his response, Nye Udu Otuwarikpo, noted that the visit was to strengthen the unity amongst Rivers people.
He stressed that his “commitment to serve is my bond. We are working hard to give meaning to kingship and to make life more meaningful”.
Otuwarikpo who described the visitor as a forthright leader, noted that the essence of such visits was to create synergy amongst traditional rulers so that they can continue to work in unity as well as strengthen existing relationships.
“It is not just about us, but about our people, because when traditional rulers form alliances, our people will also benefit from it.” , he added.
Nye Udu Upata 111, His Majesty, Eze Felix Enene Otuwarikpo is also the Regent to the throne of Eze Ekpeye Logbo.
