Residents Flee as Erosion Ravages Bayelsa Community
1 min readInhabitants of Ogbogoro community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have fled their homes as a result of the perennial erosion ravaging the shoreline of the town.
Some residents of the community were on Wednesday,26th August, 2020, seen moving out their property from the town due to the coastal erosion that has over the years claimed houses, churches and schools.
Alarmed by the destruction caused by the erosion, a resident expressed fear that if nothing is done to protect the shoreline of the community, it would soon go extinct.
